ABOUT
The center features a photo gallery that captures moments from community activities, including public lectures, Yom HaShoah commemorations, and the annual Arts & Writing Contest, reflecting its commitment to honoring victims and supporting survivors. SBHEC serves as a vital educational resource for the community.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Families visiting the center can engage with various educational programs that reach over 6,000 area students each year, from middle school through college. Programs like the Leadership Institute for Teens (LIFT) encourage participants to confront prejudice and take constructive action. The center's initiatives inspire understanding and empathy among attendees, fostering a commitment to social justice and respect for all individuals.
GOOD TO KNOW
Founded to honor the memory of the millions who perished in the Holocaust, the Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center utilizes the lessons of this atrocity to inspire action against hate. Through education and reflection, SBHEC aims to build a more compassionate and informed world, empowering students and community members to actively combat all forms of hate.
