WHAT THIS IS

KidsWannaGo is a weekly listing of kid-friendly things to do in Rhode Island. No fluff. No sponsored placements disguised as recommendations.

How it is made: every Monday, software reads the public calendars of about 280 Rhode Island venues (libraries, farms, museums, parks, rec departments, theaters). An automated check keeps the events children can go to and holds back the rest. We never invent an event, a date or a price: an event is listed only when the venue's own page shows it with its date. When a venue's page is blocked or moved, the site looks for a working calendar for that venue and nothing is carried over from last week. People read the reports every week and fix what the software gets wrong.

WHY WE BUILT IT

Finding things to do with kids meant checking dozens of different websites, Facebook pages, and Instagram stories. It was annoying. So we fixed it.

One page. Everything happening. That's it.

WHO WE ARE

Parents who live here. Not a media company. Not a ticket platform. Not trying to "disrupt" anything.

We have kids. We want to know what's happening. We assume you do too.

HOW IT WORKS

• We scrape venue and organization calendars weekly
• Events get listed by day, city, venue
• No ranking. No "featured" pay-to-play spots in listings
• Ads are clearly labeled (Google AdSense — see privacy)
• Event links go direct to venues when possible

WHERE THE LISTINGS COME FROM

• Every Monday we read the public event calendars of 269 Rhode Island museums, libraries, farms, parks, nature centers and town recreation departments we track
• We keep events meant for kids and families, and drop adult-only events and town meetings
• Pages show events from today forward, so past days fall off on their own
• Each listing links to the venue's own page — times and tickets can change, so check there before you go
• Venue descriptions are written from the venue's own site and public sources, which are cited on each venue page

SOMETHING WRONG?

Wrong time, cancelled event, closed venue, missing place? Tell us or email hello@kidswannago.com. We fix listings within a week. Venues can add themselves.
